i've always wondered about DMB age and gender stats. so i wrote a script to find out. the results are
male: 37 female: 519
and i graphed the age results :) somehow being a TA for Microsoft Office 2003 makes me want to use their softwares. weird.

it's actually a surprise to me. altho the average and median is around 16-17, there are actually 156 people who are older than 18 which is about 33%. i always thought it's younger.

the only class i'm fond of this semester. i learned so much i want to learn in that class including flash. i'm a beginner but i really love it. i so much wish i can do a lot more with it. but this is an introductory class.. not even the teacher knows that much about flash. but it's enough to get me started. i want to know how to connect flash with database etc. so maybe i can make a flash guestbook someday. aw dreams on... sigh.. only if i have to.. so sad..
here's my assignment tho

Observed: Ying Zhang
When: October 12, 2004 at 10:30 AM
No. Students: 24 students
I was late getting to the beginning of class because a meeting went long. These comments are based on observation
that occurred starting in the middle. Ying spoke in a clear tone with appropriate volume. She was explaining while
demonstrating on the computer. The students were very attentive doing the Access exercise with her. The pace worked
well so that students could easily follow. Ying?s explanations were thorough, but not overly verbose.
Ying is very competent on the computer. Also she is confident working on the computer in front of the class. It was
obvious that she was quite familiar with the exercise to talk and do the work with minimal pauses.
Some students asked questions during the exercise. Ying handled these efficiently.
At the end of class Ying gave directions as to where to save files. Her explanations were direct, precise, and accurate.
As students were leaving, Ying moved around answering individual questions. Students treated Ying with respect.
Additionally I have observed Ying?s in class interaction at the end of periods since I am coming in to teach as she is
leaving. Ying is competent and confident, yet patient with the students. I am especially impressed with her computer
skills. She could speak a little louder at times, but this is not a major issue. Overall, I am very happy to have her
as a TA for 6K:070.
